Dubai, United Arab Emirates, 10 April 2024: Families and friends can soak up the celebratory atmosphere of Eid Al Fitr in Dubai with a thrilling schedule of events, activities, live performances, and competitions. Organised by Dubai Festivals and Retail Establishment (DFRE), this year’s Eid festivities invite residents and visitors across the city to celebrate in unforgettable style.

Vibrant outdoor activities for all across markets, attractions, and community spaces

Outdoor events happening this Eid bring residents and visitors of all ages the chance to share cherished time together amid beautiful weather.

With its vibrant mix of tradition, culture, cuisine, and family-friendly experiences, everyone is invited to embrace Eid Al Fitr’s spirit of community at Expo City Dubai. The mosque will host early morning Eid Prayers, followed by exciting activities across the popular Hai Ramadan, a traditional Emirati neighbourhood. Captivating cultural performances, workshops, and artisanal shopping will continue throughout the destination.

Visitors looking to be whisked off for a trip around the world can head to Global Village this Eid, where they can explore the Eid Wonder Souk and more than 27 other pavilions to shop for the perfect festive gifts and souvenirs. Musical fireworks displays will light the skies every day at 9pm, and more than 200 cultural and entertainment performances will take place across the park during the celebrations. Flavours to satisfy all tastes from every continent can be explored at more than 250 restaurants, kiosks, food trucks and cafes, as well as at Carnaval™, where more than 195 rides, skill games, arcade games, and attractions welcome families to make unforgettable memories.

Active fun for all across community runs and adrenaline-filled activities

On 14 April, the Community Run comes to the Ripe Market. The sporting meet-up starts at 7am with three routes for all abilities to choose from; including 2.5km, 5km, or 10km. The popular weekend bazaar – featuring local artisan food, fashion, and gift stalls – will remain open all day, offering a leisurely way to wind down after a heart-racing run.

Across Dubai at the Hatta Wadi Hub, thrill seekers and outdoor adventurers can enjoy a 30 per cent reduction on select activity packages to take part in exciting adrenaline-fuelled activities including archery, zip lining, and kayaking.

Sports fans can also catch the first-ever UAE-Qatar Super Shield, the pinnacle of professional football featuring the champion of Adnoc pro league “Shabab Al Ahli” vs the champion of the QSL “Al Duhail”. This super match will take place on 13 April at Rashid Stadium and promises football fans and entertainment seekers a spectacular atmosphere where professional football meets exhilarating entertainment that promises to deliver to the expectations of our beloved audience. Match celebrations will kick off at 8:30pm with live entertainment featuring a stunning audio visual immersive show. Side splitting laughs – Dubai Comedy Festival brings legendary comics to the city

Lots of laughs await at the Dubai Comedy Festival, running from 12 – 21 April. Highly anticipated performances by world-renowned and emerging comedians at Dubai Opera and Coca-Cola Arena welcome friends and loved ones to enjoy a feel-good evening of fun. The festival line-up includes a mix of international stars like Chris Distefano, Amer Zahr, husband-wife duo Spencer and Vogue, Indian comic Anubhav Singh Bassi and British funnymen Mo Gilligan, Frank Skinner, and Al Murray, with more names to be announced soon.

Shop to win big – Eid raffles at malls

Shoppers stand the chance to win huge prizes as part of the Eidya Digital Raffle Promotion. Those who spend AED 200 at participating malls will receive a digital raffle coupon to enter into a draw to win AED 200,000. A total of 22 winners will be drawn over the last three days of Eid; with six prizes of AED 15,000, six prizes of AED 10,000 and 10 prizes of AED 5,000 given to lucky shoppers. A total of 18 malls will be taking part in the extravaganza, including Arabian Centre, Dubai Outlet Mall, Lulu Hypermarket Silicon Oasis, and Times Square Centre. Curated feasts with flavours for all at Eid buffets and feasts 

Lavish feasts, international and local flavours, and curated menus bring friends and family together to celebrate across the City during Eid. At SO / Uptown Dubai, visitors can indulge in the ‘Biggest Iftar buffet in Dubai’ and sample an elaborate selection of delicious dishes from around the world. At Aloft Palm Jumeirah Hotel, a selection of Eid brunches are on offer to choose from across the property’s three restaurants: East and Seaboard International Buffet Restaurant, Luchador Mexican Restaurant, and Il Tavolino Italian Restaurant. Prices at each venue start at AED 198. Khalidia Palace Hotel Dubai by Mourouj Gloria welcomes guests for a lavish Eid brunch on the second day of the celebrations. In addition to traditional Levantine and authentic Arabic flavours, guests can also enjoy swimming pool access until 7pm.

Unforgettable moments to share – enchanting fireworks and light shows

Residents and visitors can catch spectacular firework shows during the first three days of the Eid holiday at 8pm. On the first day of Eid, the skies will sparkle at Dubai Festival City Mall and Hatta. On the second day of Eid, the spectacular display will happen at Al Seef; and on the third day of the celebrations, the show will be at Bluewaters and The Beach, JBR. The displays are brought to the city by Al Zarooni Group.

The enchanting Eid Reflections displays will bring more ways for friends and families to make cherished memories this Eid. Stunning displays will light up Dubai’s iconic landmarks from 8pm – 3am every day of Eid offering a chance for the community to come together to take in this spectacular showcase embodied by the beauty of light.

Abdul Majeed Abdullah at Coca Cola Arena

Arabic music fans can catch a captivating concert by Saudi singer, Abdul Majeed Abdullah this Eid at Coca-Cola Arena. On 13 April the hitmaker will perform tunes from his amazing 35-year career including tracks from albums such as Raheeb, Melyon Khater and Aalam Mowazi.
