UNOX, a leading manufacturer of professional ovens, and the UAE Food Bank came together to provide meals for those in need during the holy month of Ramadan. The food distribution took place on Tuesday, 11th April. The joint initiative will see UNOX Corporate Chef Giacomo Bortolussi preparing rice with chicken, lentils, and mixed vegetables.
These will be prepared for the flagship combi ovens CHEFTOP MIND.Maps™ PLUS and BAKERTOP MIND.Maps™ PLUS, and the innovative food preserving unit EVEREO®, which is HACCP certified. The simultaneous work of unique and ground-breaking solutions helps to reduce costs, improve productivity, and meet waste reduction goals. Over 100 meals will be prepared, and UNOX will also be donating two food-preserving units, the EVEREO®.
This initiative is a culmination of both entities’ shared goal to give back to the community and make an impact on everyday citizens in Dubai. Matt Roberts, UNOX MENA Managing Director, expressed his enthusiasm about the partnership, stating, “We are delighted to work with the UAE Food Bank to provide meals for those in need. At UNOX, we are committed to making a difference in the lives of everyday Dubai citizens and helping those less fortunate.”
The UAE Food Bank representative, Mr. Issa Hassan Issa, echoed Roberts’ sentiments and emphasized the importance of such initiatives. “We are very pleased to partner with UNOX, and this joint initiative will go a long way in supporting our efforts to distribute food to those in need during the holy month of Ramadan. The UAE Food Bank is committed to providing surplus and donated food to the underprivileged sections of society, and we appreciate the support of organizations like UNOX in achieving our mission,” said Mr. Issa.
UNOX Corporate Chef Giacomo, who was born and raised in Italy and has been with UNOX since 2016, now brings his expertise to Dubai and is excited to prepare these special meals using the flagship combi ovens. “I am thrilled to use our combi ovens CHEFTOP MIND.Maps™ PLUS and BAKERTOP MIND.Maps™ PLUS oven for cooking these meals for the UAE Food Bank initiative. Smart professional ovens ensure maximum repeatability and precision thanks to perfect control of the cooking process, especially in higher capacities. This initiative is a testament to UNOX’s commitment to corporate social responsibility and making a positive impact in the communities it serves. UNOX will be donating two EVEREO® units to UAE Food Bank which can preserve up to 80 meals at either cold or hot temperatures up to 80 degrees Celsius.
